Tech Stuff
The challenge I have set myself this time around is to develop a site that conforms to W3C standards and doesn't use any tables in its layout. this proved to be a challenge as i have always used tables in web layouts, however i have converted! Divs rule and are far more flexible than tables! The layout is completely controlled by css, but at the same time the site still makes sense with no style sheet, it just doesn't look nice. There are no scripts to control rollovers etc, which of course improves accessibility :) In the future i hope to add lots of funky things in php.

ah i am guilty of not updating this for awhile. blame being busy at work and a virus-riddled computer at home.
i am sick of all the guestbook spam that i've received so i am writing my own since the one i had installed wouldn't let me change file names or customise form tags to prevent the problem.

just ironed a few little differences between pages by creating a dreamweaver template so everything is consistent now :). hoping to have more content up soon. fingers crossed!

woo hoo - i just installed a guestbook! i wanted to write my own, but since there's one here already, it's not a priority any more. i'll have a play and if i'm not happy i can make my own. sign it anyway, cos i can keep the messages if i do decide to make my own bookie, and they'll make me feel special :)

Yay for tableless design and css goodness! :) i now have a layout that includes only divs (for those of you in the know!) and the layout is done entirely in css, so that if I want to change a colour of something or its position, i change one line of code instead of 50 bazillion pages! it also looks the same in both IE and Mozilla (that proved to be a pain, but i got there in the end!). it's great that i've been able to finally practise what i have been preaching for years. now i just need to make it a little more pretty... please ignore any funny bits and pieces that you may see around the place - I am working on this in fits and bursts so may have to leave some silly things around the place until i get more time to work on it again.

Just uploaded all my content and styles from my stupid crappy free site, so while you wait for a nice pretty site to appear, you can at least have something to read :)

eek... not much done yet... I ended up being busier than expected over the weekend (as per usual!!). I have however cleaned up and uncluttered my computer desk as a clean environment definitely speeds up my production, so at least that's a start! Now I just have to get rid of all those nasty viruses on it...

yay! I now have my very own site with absolutely NO ads! :) Please bear with me while I design this baby and transfer contents over from my crappy free site. I hope to have a skeleton up by next week sometime and will then continue to build from there. At the moment, the info that I intend to put on this site includes:
